“Early in the planning phase of our new brewery, taproom and retail store in Waitsfield, Vermont I stumbled upon John T. Unger’s amazing firebowls in a Google search. We were hoping to find a gas firebowl rather than a wood fire pit in order to ensure smoke did not affect our guest’s sensory experience of enjoying our freshly-made beer. We were so excited to see how John’s firebowl closely resembled our Sip of Sunshine IPA brand design! We were proud to purchase such artistry from a company that resides in the neighboring state of NY. John’s firebowl’s are a stunning focal point in our outdoor beer garden that draw guests right to them to enjoy a closer look at their uniqueness and craftsmanship,” says Karen Lawson, co-owner of Lawson’s Finest Liquids.

The brewery has three Waves O’ Fire Sculptural Firebowls™. Two are the 37 inch size and one is a 41 inch firebowl.

“These firebowls are a hit at our taproom. We always get so many compliments!” says Alana Cushman, Marketing and Events Coordinator. The firebowls do seem to be a hit with beer lovers since I’ve had more than a few of my own customers tell me that they discovered my work at Lawson’s and decided they needed to have one for their own yard.

Even in the snow season, the firebowls allow taproom patrons to enjoy a cold brew comfortably in the outdoor beer garden.

In fact, even a snow man can enjoy sitting by the fire! This may be one of my favorite photos of my work I’ve yet seen.

Like many other restaurants and hotels have discovered, the firebowls also make a great background or foreground for product shots designed for social media and Instagram.
