These four Xerox transfers were created for the exhibit Sextablos, curated by Michael Hernandez de Luna.
“The exhibition featured the work of 60 contributing artists who were asked to adapt the Mexican retablo (small paintings on metal) typically reserved for personal expressions of piety, to explore personal, unconventional attitudes regarding sex as the spice of life.”
These pieces were exhibited at the Hyde Park Art Center, Hyde Park, IL; Barrister’s Gallery, New Orleans, LA; RedBud Gallery, Houston,TX and The Augen Gallery, Portland, OR.
I also wrote an essay for the exhibition catalog, Sold my Soul for Rock ‘n Roll.
